Safe Green Foundation was founded by Mohamed Ahmed a Somali native from Atlanta, Georgia. The auspices and framework came together after he successfully raised funds to support the development of schools in the town of Agaaran in Somali puntland. The position taught him about communal integration as a way of development and has since been vested in the fruition of the region. The organization structures were established on the 30th day of December 2011 in United State as a local non-profitable, non-political, non-religious, and non-governmental organization.
Safe green promotes agriculture, education, and healthcare in East Africa. Our goal is to build sustainable models that can be applied to the larger African continent. Safe green is oriented to handle the logistical hurdles that often incapacitate East Africa through incorporation of remote cities and the cultivation of vibrant communities. As a partner in health, agriculture, and education we leverage our expertise in the terrain in order to gain valuable insight through field research and allocate appropriate human needs in appropriate ways.
Our projected goal is to handle all aid going to the region and fundamentally contribute to the distribution of resources. We have a unique selection process that takes into account population distribution and knowledge of ethnic cultures in the region. We form ties with communities and build channels that foster growth through education. We pride our selves on engagement. Safe Green is the model for development of the African continent. Whether you are interested in promoting peace as a democracy, giving to the needy, or simply supporting Safe Green we are ready to meet you all the way.
